The bodies of a man and a woman have been discovered after reports of gunshots being fired at an address in west Devon on the edge of Dartmoor.

Police were called to the property on Lake Lane, Dousland, at about 1200 BST on Thursday. The bodies were found in a garden and a revolver pistol recovered.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious, but no-one else is being sought in connection with the incident.

A woman who was nearby is being treated as a witness, a police spokesman said.

There is no danger to any other members of the public, police said.
