Live grenade found hidden in wall

A bomb disposal team carried out a controlled explosion after a live grenade was found hidden in a wall during building work at a Devon farm.

Police said the device was believed to be a "genuine World War Two grenade".

It was discovered in a cob wall, which is made of clay and straw, at the property in Bradworthy on Monday.

Following the detonation by the military Explosive Ordinance Disposal team the area was declared safe.
