Man charged following armed siege

A man has been charged in connection with an armed siege in Devon.

Armed officers and police dog units were called to a two-storey block in Oldham Road, Hatherleigh, during Wednesday afternoon.

The 42-year-old man has been charged with two public order offences following the incident in which no-one was hurt.

He is due to appear before magistrates at Central Devon Magistrates Court in Exeter later.
