A pony has been rescued after getting trapped in a frozen lake in Devon.
Firefighters from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Services were called out to rescue the moorland pony at Yennadon Down, near Yelverton.
Two crews attended the scene, together with a vet and the owner, at about 1600 GMT.
A winch and strop were used to free the animal in a rescue operation lasting just under two hours. The pony was unhurt but was suffering from the cold.
