Woman trapped under van is named

Emergency crews freed the women from beneath the van

A woman who died after being trapped under a van in Plymouth's shopping area has been named.

Margaret Given, 58, from Plymouth, became trapped under the vehicle in the pedestrianised part of New George Street on Thursday morning.

She died at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth on Thursday night after being freed from beneath the van by fire crews using hydraulic equipment.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
