Three arrested during drugs raid

Three people have been arrested and money and suspected drugs seized in a police raid in south Devon.

Two men and a woman were taken into custody after police executed a warrant at a property in the Wellswood area of Torquay on Tuesday evening.

About £7,000 of cash was seized, along with heroin with an estimated street value of £23,000, police said.

The trio were arrested on suspicion on supplying drugs and taken to Torquay police station before being bailed.

The three arrested - a 37-year-old man from Kirkdale, a 28-year-old man from Liverpool and a 41-year-old woman from Paignton - are all due to answer bail on 10 March 2009.
