'Kissogram' councillor steps down

A Devon Lib Dem town councillor who was exposed as a stripper and kissogram has stood down, her council has confirmed.

Pictures of Myrna Bushell posing in her underwear were published in 2007 after a website advertising her services was discovered.

The 35-year-old Bideford councillor, who also worked on phone sex chat lines, said the scandal meant she could not be taken seriously as a councillor.

Bideford Town Council said they had accepted her letter of resignation.

A spokesman said Ms Bushell had cited "personal circumstances and ill health" as her reasons for resigning.
