Thief steals rings worth £40,000

Two rings worth a total of £40,000 were snatched from a jewellers in Devon.

A man asked to see the rings and then grabbed them from the assistant at the shop in Fore Street, Kingsbridge on Monday afternoon.

He escaped in a blue Honda Civic car, registration number P95 SSK, which was driven by another person.

Police believe they found the thief's discarded clothing near the Palegate Cross roundabout at the junction of the A379 and A381 later.
