Arson suspected in container fire

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at an industrial estate in Devon involving gas cylinders.

Three crews and an aerial platform were called to Lister Close in Plympton at about 0330 BST, where two industrial containers were on fire.

The area was sealed off and residents warned to keep windows and doors closed because of the risk of explosion.

A fire service spokesman said the blaze, which is now under control, was being treated as suspicious.

Devon and Cornwall Police have begun an investigation.

Both the containers and a car were severely damaged by the fire.
