The parents of a 14-year-old boy who went missing following a diving trip in Devon have been informed a body has been found.

Louis Price, from Newport, south Wales, went missing after diving with his father off Berry Head last month.

A member of the public reported an object in the water near the breakwater at Brixham at about 1300 BST on Monday.

A body has been recovered and the coroner informed. Formal identification has yet to take place.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said the family of Louis Price had been informed of the find.

Louis and his father, who were both experienced divers, had been diving from a rigid inflatable boat at Berry Head when the teenager disappeared after surfacing on 12 August.

The search, involving helicopters, lifeboats and police diving teams, was called off after two days.
