A family of six had to be rescued from a motorboat in Devon when it became stranded in mud.
The coastguard was alerted after the small hired motorboat became stuck in the mud in the Kingsbridge Estuary.
The Coastguard Rescue helicopter from Portland was scrambled to assist but was unable to help as it was too dangerous for those on the ground.
The family from London, two adults and four children, were rescued unharmed by Teignmouth Coastguard Mud Rescue Team.
Dave Scullion, Brixham Coastguard watch manager, said it was a "well conducted operation between three coastguard units".
"We had to extricate the family quickly as the children were becoming dehydrated."
The family was taken to East Portlemouth and returned to their holiday accommodation safe and well.
