Driver admits hit-and-run charge

A man from Cornwall has pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a hit-and-run accident in Plymouth in which a man died.

The body of 41-year-old Peter Tisdall from Plymouth was discovered on the northbound carriageway of the A38 in St Budeaux in the early hours of 13 April.

Shaun Mann, 48, from Saltash, admitted the offence during a hearing at Plymouth Magistrates' Court.

He was bailed to be sentenced on 5 September.
