Weapons
Weapons seized included an air pistol

An air pistol and two knives were found by police searching a group of up to 60 youths believed to have gathered for a mass fight in Plymouth, Devon.

Police said they were tipped off about the fight that had been arranged between pupils from two Plymouth schools on Tuesday.

When officers arrived at McDonald's restaurant in Tavistock Road they found between 40 and 60 youths assembled.

A 17-year-old has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon.

Schools informed

The boy, from the Whitleigh area of the city, has been released on bail to appear at youth court on 28 July.

A 16-year-old boy, also from Whitleigh, was also arrested and has been released on bail until 19 August.

Police said the group was dispersed before any disorder took place.

Both schools have been contacted and are helping police with their inquiries.
