A 22-month-old toddler is in a serious condition in hospital after an incident involving a bus in Plymouth, Devon.

Darcie Slowman was taken to the city's Derriford Hospital after the accident in Cunningham Road, Tamerton Foliot on Friday at about 1655 BST, police said.

She was later transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital with multiple fractures. Her condition is described as serious and she is under sedation.

Police have appealed for witnesses and would like to trace a bus passenger.
