Fears missing man could be dead

Police in Devon say they fear a man who went missing six weeks ago may be dead.

Stephen Price has not been seen at his home in Great Western Close in Paignton since 2 May. He had taken his dog for a walk and the dog returned without him.

Police say before Mr Price disappeared he was involved in an altercation with a man over a van parked near his home.

The blue van was found in Torbay on Friday. A man arrested in connection with the inquiry has been released on police bail.

'Just ring'

Det Insp Dave Prywata said police had "serious concerns" about Mr Price's well-being.

"We have had some sightings by people who know Mr Price and we are looking to corroborate or otherwise those sightings.

"However one possibility is that Mr Price is dead."

Mr Price has gone missing before but this disappearance is being described as "completely out of character".

At an appeal on Monday, Mr Price's brother Pierre urged him to get in contact.

"It's taking it out on everyone - my mum, my sisters, me.

"Steve, if you're out there just ring me or the police or any of the family - please."

Mr Price is described as 5ft 8in (1.75m) tall, with greying blonde shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark-blue hooded top, jogger bottoms and trainers.
