Fire at disused warehouse, Barnstaple
More than six fire crews took four hours to extinguish the fire

A disused warehouse in North Devon has been destroyed by a fire.

Six fire engines and an aerial platform were used to douse the flames at the two-storey property in Barnstaple late on Monday evening.

The blaze could be seen from some distance and the fire service said it had over 30 calls reporting the building was "well alight".

It took firefighters about four hours to extinguish the fire. It is not yet known how it started.
