Moped rider, 17, dies in accident

A 17-year-old moped rider has been killed in an accident on the A377 in Devon.

Collision investigators are at the scene at Newton St Cyres and the road is expected to be closed for several hours.

The accident happened at about 0840 BST and involved the young man's 50CC moped and an X-type Jaguar.

The moped rider's next of kin have been informed of his death. Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
