Fire hits resort amusement arcade

An investigation has started in a Devon seaside resort after an amusement arcade was badly damaged by fire.

The blaze broke out in the building in Beach Road in Dawlish shortly after 2200 BST on Monday.

Three fire crews were called to the blaze and were able to stop the fire from spreading to an upper maisonette.

One man had to be treated by ambulance crews for the effects of smoke inhalation. Police said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
