Man's body recovered from river

A man's body has been pulled from the River Dart in Devon by police officers and firefighters.

The body was spotted on mudflats at Totnes by a member of the public crossing the New Bridge near Morrisons supermarket at about 0630 BST.

Firefighters had to crawl across boards to reach the man, who is thought to have been in his 40s.

Officers are now trying to establish the man's identity and determine what happened to him.
