Jade Willoughby, pictured before the attack, was punched in the face

A mother says she is not happy with the way a Cornish school has punished a student who attacked her 14-year-old daughter.
Jade Willoughby suffered a swollen lip in the attack at Pool Business and Enterprise College near Camborne.
The college says it was right to suspend the girl for a day and warn her about her conduct.
But Jade's mother Leah Willoughby says the attacker should be excluded from the school permanently.
'Pinned against fence'
Jade says she has no idea why she was attacked.
"It was break time and she came up with loads of people and started shouting and screaming at me.
"I walked away but she pinned me against the fence and then grabbed me, pulled me onto the ground and started attacking me."
Jade had a swollen and bleeding lip and reported what had happened to a teacher.
Mrs Willoughby said: "They acted very promptly and the girl was excluded for a day.
"But I don't think that was enough because my daughter was excluded for a day for swearing at a teacher and what this girl did was a darn sight worse than that.
"I think she should be excluded permanently."
Deputy head Jeremy Rowe said he was "disgusted" by the incident.
He said: "We have given the second most serious sanction which is a fixed term exclusion which notifies the governing body and county hall.
"We have combined that with 10 hours work in silence and then we will have a meeting to decide if she returns to school.
"So the sanction is not over yet but I do feel to end this girl's education would not have been appropriate."
