Two month closure for injury unit

A minor injuries unit in south Devon has been shut temporarily because of staff shortages.

Managers say they hope to get the unit at Ashburton Hospital, reopened in the next two months.

In the meantime patients are being advised to seek treatment for minor injuries at Bovey Tracey Hospital which is open every day.

The unit is short of four members of staff, a matron and three healthcare assistants.
