Man hurt in knife slash assault

A man is being treated in hospital after being slashed with a knife in a Devon city.

Emergency services were called to a property in Ladysmith Road in the Mount Gould area of Plymouth at about 2230 BST on Saturday.

Police said a 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The victim was taken to Derriford Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
