Legion launches region's appeal
The Royal British Legion's poppy appeal for service personnel is being formally launched in Devon and Cornwall.

Money raised by the appeal is used to help thousands of ex-servicemen and women and their families.

Last year the appeal across the two counties raised nearly £1m. Devon raised £630,000, while £317,000 was raised in Cornwall.

The appeal for the South West will be launched at the Royal Navy's training base HMS Raleigh in Torpoint.
