Man dies in crash with police car
A 76-year-old man has been killed after his car was in a collision with a Devon and Cornwall police vehicle.

The crash happened on the B3137 at Gidley Cross near South Molton at 1650 BST on Monday.

The elderly man was driving a grey Renault Clio. The driver of the police vehicle, a silver Skoda Octavia, suffered from shock and minor injuries.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been notified about the accident and is investigating.

Devon and Cornwall police said the investigation is in its early stages so they are unable to make any further comment at this time.
