'Wrong way' accident couple named

Police investigators are appealing for witnesses to the accident
A couple who were killed in a crash which happened after a car was seen driving the wrong way along a Devon carriageway have been named.

Allan, 59, and Susan Cowling, 60, from Ivybridge died in the two-vehicle accident on Friday night on the A38 near Lyneham, Plympton.

Police said evidence pointed to one of the cars being driven on the wrong side of the road for a couple of miles.

A 33-year-old woman from Torpoint who was also killed is yet to be named.

All three people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Collision investigators were called to the scene and officers have appealed for witnesses.
