'Car surf' boy is critically ill
A 17-year-old Devon boy remains critically ill in hospital after falling off a moving vehicle, when a so-called car-surfing stunt went wrong.

The boy suffered life-threatening injuries at Maer Road in Exmouth on Wednesday and was flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The driver of the car, who is also 17, was arrested and has been released on police bail.

The craze for climbing on top of or clinging to a vehicle began in the US.

Police say many teenagers have been inspired after watching clips of car-surfing on the internet.
