Man arrested after fatal accident
A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Devon.

A 52-year-old man from Torquay was hit by a Peugeot 306 car while walking in Lymington Road in Torquay on Monday.

He was taken to Torbay Hospital suffering from serious head and body injuries and later died.

A 45-year-old man from Torquay was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was released on police bail until 15 May.
