A new beer is being brewed in Devon to commemorate the presence of the MSC Napoli off the county's coast.
The beer is produced with a different kind of hop
The Branscombe Vale Brewery has brewed some 10,000 pints of an ale called Napoli's On The Rocks.
The brewery's co-owner Paul Dimond, 41, said:"I can see the Napoli from the brewery window, so it seemed the natural thing to do."
The vessel was grounded a mile off the Lyme Bay beach, near Sidmouth, on 20 January during a tow to Portland.
Mr Dimond, who has run the brewery with Graham Luxton for 15 years, says the ale is made with a different hop from the other ales the brewery produces.
He said he was surprised how popular it had proved.
"We thought it was going to be a one-off but we are on the third brewing now."
But he added that the beer had been created as a commemoration not a celebration of the Napoli's beaching.
"It's definitely not a celebration, it is just something that needed marking.
"Somebody will be able to look at the pump clips in the future and they will tell their own story."
The beer is being sold at a number of pubs including two in Branscombe.
