Posters warn of secret photos man

Rowland could be jailed or fined if he breaches the order

Posters of a man who secretly filmed women are to be put up around Torbay to try to stop him offending in future.

Raymond Rowland, 41, was given a 10-year Asbo, banning him from photographing or filming women without their permission.

Posters will be put up in car parks where Rowland asked women to start his car while he worked on the engine, then filmed the lower half of their bodies.

Videos seized by police showed images of more than 100 women.

The posters will have a photo of Rowland, give details of the Asbo and explain who to contact if he is seen breaking it.

Rowland could face up to six months in prison or a £5,000 fine if he is found to be in breach of the Asbo order, made at South Devon Magistrates' Court in Torquay on Thursday.

Kirsty Passmore from Safer Communities Torbay said: "People behaving anti-socially has a detrimental affect on the community and this is about protecting the community as best we can."

Ms Passmore said the posters showed how useful anti-social behaviour legislation can be.

She said: "Some people think Asbos are all about yobbish behaviour and young people in hoodies, but it's about tackling any behaviour that causes alarm, harassment or distress to the public."
