'Exclusive' boatshed up for £250k
Boatshed in Salcombe
The boatshed measures 13ft wide and 80ft deep
A boatshed in an exclusive yachting resort in south Devon has been set an auction guide price of £250,000.

The waterside shed, with green painted double doors and a sloping corrugated iron roof, is situated between two other buildings in Salcombe.

The shed, currently rented out as a boat store, is being sold by someone who has moved away from the area.

Auctioneer Bob Petit said it was the most expensive garage or boatshed they had ever seen up for auction.

"There has been quite a lot of interest in it - they do not come up very often," said Mr Petit.

"And being by the water is quite a premium. I am confident it will sell at the price."

The shed itself, just 13 ft wide and 80 ft long, can be accessed from Island Street and has a slipway to the tidal Kingsbridge estuary.

The auction will take place at Salcombe Yacht Club on Wednesday afternoon.
