Woman injured during stove fire

A woman was injured while trying to tackle a fire in her range cooker.

Firefighters were called to her home on the Little Norman Estate in Plymtree, Cullompton, after the fire broke out in a paint can in the Rayburn stove.

Devon Fire and Rescue Service said a conservatory was damaged by the subsequent explosion of an aerosol can, and that some clothes were also burnt.

The woman was treated for burns to her hands by fire service personnel, but not taken to hospital.
