Boy, seven, dies in farm accident

A seven-year-old boy has died in an accident at a farm in west Devon.

The child was pronounced dead after being released from beneath machinery at a farm in Broadwood Kelly, before the arrival of firefighters.

Police and the Devon Air Ambulance were also called to the accident at about 1600 BST on Saturday.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: "The family are devastated by their loss." Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
