Language students held over rape
Two foreign language students have appeared before South Devon Magistrates charged with raping a woman and theft.

Mohammed Alfaki, 18, and a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, used an interpreter to confirm their names and ages on Wednesday.

Mr Alfaki was remanded in custody and the 16-year-old taken to secure accommodation. They are due before Exeter Crown Court on 8 September.

The victim suffered a "prolonged sex attack" in Torquay on Friday.

The man and teenager told magistrates they did not have a fixed address in the UK.

They have both been charged with rape, serious sexual assault and theft.

A 20-year-old man arrested on Monday was released on bail until 29 September.
