Fresh hunt for murdered teenager
Charlotte Pinkney
Charlotte Pinkney went missing after a party
Police are carrying out fresh searches in north Devon to find the body of murdered teenager Charlotte Pinkney.

Scaffolder Nicholas Rose, 24, was jailed for at least 20 years last year, for murdering Charlotte in Ilfracombe.

Charlotte, 16, was last seen alive leaving a party in the resort town in February 2004.

Despite a huge search by police officers of the countryside, coastline, reservoirs and even sewers, her body has never been found.

Specialist officers are now searching an area near Ilfracombe.

Devon and Cornwall police say the work coincides with training days and is providing invaluable assistance to the investigation team.
