Sheep killed by lightning strike
More than 90 sheep were killed by lightning on a farm in Devon on Sunday, it has emerged.

The young ewes and lambs, from Bullaton Farm in Hennock, were sheltering from torrential rain under a tree when a bolt of lightning struck.

A local vet was called to the scene, but all but one of the 92 sheep were dead. Vet Nigel Taylor described the site as a "disaster scene".

Four cattle were killed in Yealmpton on the same day.
