The council wants to build in major towns and rural areas

The public are being asked to comment on locations for 3,800 new homes in west Devon to be built by 2026.
It follows an announcement by the South West Regional Assembly that 460,000 extra homes are needed to meet demand.
West Devon Borough Council will tour a roadshow to gain public feedback on locations for the new housing.
The roadshow, from 17 to 29 June, will display where the houses could be built in Tavistock, Okehampton and smaller rural communities.
People are invited to give their views at the roadshows in North Tawton, Bere Alston, Hatherleigh, Okehampton, Lifton and Tavistock.
West Devon Borough Council must decide where these houses should go as part of its draft core strategy document, which aims to guide future development in the area for the next two decades.
It is proposing that the majority of the houses are built in Okehampton and Tavistock and a significant number in the smaller communities around west Devon.
The South West Regional Assembly included the housing figures for Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire in its draft Regional Spatial Strategy.
