A fire at a boarding school in North Devon that destroyed part of a building and roof is under investigation.
Sixteen fire engines were called to Edgehill College in Bideford just before midday on Sunday, where flames were seen to reach up to 40ft high.
The fire damaged 30% of the main building and 30% of the roof of the 1880s school.
It took firefighters four hours to contain it. A Devon Fire & Rescue spokesman said no one was injured.
Lessons were due to resume as normal on Monday for the school's 365 day and boarding pupils.
The extent of damage to coursework housed in the building is not yet clear.
