The club's owner says he will appeal against the ban
Council workers have boarded up a Plymouth nightclub after it was closed following a police drugs raid.

Magistrates on Monday agreed to close the club for three months after being told drugs were being sold there. The club's owner has said he will appeal.

Police seized 300 ecstasy tablets during Saturday's raid.

Daryl Brent, 21, of Launceston, admitted three offences of supplying a class A drug at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

A 53-year-old Barne Barton man and a 25-year-old Stonehouse man - who are both charged with supplying Class A drugs - were remanded in custody by magistrates.

Eleven people were arrested in the raid on Saturday.

As workers boarded up the club, owner Manouch Bahmanzad, 49, said his business had been unfairly picked on.

"This is stage managed, to hold us up as a warning to others," he told BBC News.

"I feel we have been unfairly targeted."
