A Plymouth nightclub described as a "filling station" where Class A drugs were sold has been closed following a court order.
The city's magistrates ordered the closure of the Dance Academy after 300 ecstasy tablets were seized there by police on Saturday.
The club had been under surveillance for five months after complaints about violence and disorder, the court heard.
No-one from the club attended Monday's court hearing.
Magistrates were told that there was overt drug dealing at the venue.
The club's closure had been sought by Plymouth City Council and the police.
