Factory calls in administrators

Brannams Pottery recently celebrated its 125th anniversary

Administrators have been called in at a north Devon pottery company which employs 140 people.

Brannams Pottery, which provides pots and planters to major DIY stores, is not thought to be under any threat of closure yet.

The administrators have been called in to look at the future viability of the 125-year-old Barnstaple company.

They will be at the factory over the weekend to find a solution to the firm's cash flow problems.

A spokesman for Brannams said despite the company's current difficulties it is working with the administrators to find a solution.
