Wind turbines proposal thrown out
Planners have rejected proposals for three wind turbines on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

There had been more than 1,500 letters objecting to the turbines at Yelland near Okehampton, and only six people had written in support.

West Devon Borough Council rejected the plans on the grounds of visual impact.

West Coast Energy insists the turbines would have a minimal effect on the surrounding area and would help meet renewable energy targets.
