Torbay steps up bypass campaign

Torbay Council is stepping up its campaign for a new South Devon link road as discussions on road funding in the region reach a crucial stage.

The council is working closely with Devon County Council to promote the A380 Kingskerswell bypass scheme in competition with other schemes.

Torbay Mayor, Nick Bye, says he is convinced that Torbay has the most compelling case.

He says the road would boost Torbay's economy, tourism and environment.
