Couple bailed in child sale case
A woman and a man have been released on bail without charge in Devon after being arrested in relation to the attempted sale of a young child.

The child's mother, aged 18 and 21-year-old partner, were arrested at the Copthorne Hotel, Plymouth on Saturday night.

Police had been tipped off by an undercover journalist.

Officers are still looking for two men, one of them said to have been "very active" in the sale.

One is local to Plymouth, the other has links with London and the Midlands.

Two other men, aged 39 and 44, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob - which the police say is linked to the same incident - have also been bailed.

The child is now in the care of social services.
