Historic pottery ditches 42 jobs
Brannams Pottery
Brannams Pottery recently celebrated its 125th anniversary
An historic north Devon pottery company has made 42 of its 140-strong workforce redundant as it fights closure.

Brannams Pottery in Barnstaple was put into administration last week.

Menzies Corporate Restructuring (MCR) hopes to sell the company, which provides pots and planters to DIY stores, as a going concern.

The administrator says several parties have already expressed an interest in buying Brannams which recently marked its 125th anniversary.
