Warship returns to its home port
HMS Bulwark
The ship is the seventh to bear the Bulwark name
The Royal Navy's newest warship has arrived in Plymouth.

HMS Bulwark is an 18,500 tonne amphibious assault ship and this is the first time the ship has visited her new home port of Devonport.

She is the second of a new class of amphibious assault ships and will be based alongside HMS Ocean and her sister ship HMS Albion.

On arrival the ship, built by BAE Systems in Cumbria, was presented with the Royal Navy's white ensign.

The latest Bulwark is the seventh to bear the name.

She will now undergo a period of sea trials before entering service early next year although the public will be able to get a closer look at her during Plymouth's Navy Days at the end of next month.
