Delay in Charlotte water search
Charlotte Pinkney
Charlotte Pinkney vanished in February
The search for the body of a missing Devon teenager has been delayed due to problems in draining two reservoirs.

Divers had hoped to start the search for 17-year-old Charlotte Pinkney from Ilfracombe on Monday.

But South West Water says work is being slowed by old buildings on the bottom of the two nearby Slade reservoirs.

Police teams have already explored the water up to 18 metres from the edge of the reservoirs. A 22-year-old man has been charged with Charlotte's murder.

Charlotte was last seen leaving a party in Ilfracombe in the early hours of 28 February.

She was reported missing on 4 March, two days before her birthday, when she failed to contact her parents.

Nicholas Rose, 22, from Foreland View in Ilfracombe, appeared before Exeter Crown Court on 8 April charged with her murder.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody until June.
