Charlotte Pinkney: Did not contact her family on her birthday
Police divers have spent a fourth day carrying out underwater searches of reservoirs in north Devon in the hunt for a missing teenager.

Charlotte Pinkney, 17, from Ilfracombe, disappeared after being dropped off near a friend's house after a party.

She was last seen on Saturday, 28 February, after the party at the Slade Road Community Centre. She has made no contact with family or friends since.

Police will also carry out a fingertip search around the Slade Valley area.

Search helicopter

More than 60 officers are involved in the search.

On Wednesday, coastguard teams from Ilfracombe, Morte Hoe and Lynmouth searched the coastline from Ilfracombe to Lee Bay. A search and rescue helicopter from RAF Chivenor was also brought in.

Police have been examining CCTV footage taken in the town centre and posters appealing for information have been put up in shop windows.

Charlotte has not been seen since getting out of the red Vauxhall Cavalier in Ilfracombe.

She is described as 5ft 2in, with long, dark brown waist length hair.

She was last seen wearing a cream leather thigh length coat, black T-shirt and beige checked trousers.

She was reported missing by her parents last Thursday. Concern for her heightened when she failed to make contact with her parents on her birthday.

Police said it was totally out of character for her to go missing for so long and as each days passes they were growing more and more concerned for her welfare.
