Firefighters suffered minor injuries when their fire appliance went off the road and into a garage forecourt on its way to an emergency call in north Devon.

It happened at about 1150 GMT on Monday on the B3226 near Aller Cross, South Molton.

The appliance was involved in a collision with a vehicle on the road. Following that, it went on to the forecourt of the garage.

Police say the fire engine then hit stationary cars, some of which were being displayed for sale on the forecourt and some belonging to customers.
