Plane crash pair unhurt
Exeter International Airport
The plane came from a flying school at the airport
Two people have walked away uninjured after a light aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Exeter International Airport.

A Beech 76 twin-engine plane from the Exeter-based flying school Airways Flight Training made a "wheels up" landing shortly after 1100 BST.

Stephen Ayers from Exeter airport, said: "Our emergency services went to attend the scene and it was for a short time blocking our main runway.

"However, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) allowed us to move the aircraft to one side so that the Tenerife flight could land."

An inquiry is now due to be carried out by the AAIB.

The main runway is open and flights to and from Exeter have been unaffected.
