Crews tackle fire at former hotel in Buxton

Fire crews have tackled a large fire which broke out at a building in a Derbyshire town.

At its height about 60 firefighters tackled the fire at the former Haddon Hall Hotel in Buxton, which started at about 1915 GMT on Wednesday.

It is not yet known how the fire started at the three-storey building on London Road, which is now derelict.

Fire investigators were carrying out inquiries at the scene on Thursday morning.
